Community First Responder (Teamwide)

Location: West (Wellesbourne, Ettington, Kineton, Gaydon)
East (Southam, Bishops Inchington, Long Itchington) & Surrounding Villages
Hours: circa 20hrs Per Month

About the role – Our CFRs attend a wide range of life-threatening incidents, including cardiac arrests, strokes, breathing difficulties, seizures and serious falls. In each case, they deliver essential treatment, provide reassurance, and support patients and their loved ones until an ambulance crew arrives.

In addition, CFRs also support the wider charity with community training in CPR & using a defibrillator, fundraising, attending team meetings and community events. Successful applicants complete 8 days of face-to-face training at the West Midlands Ambulance Service, National Academy in Oldbury, followed by a period of mentoring and consolidation with an experienced CFR.

About you – Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, should have a good all-round standard of education, basic IT skills, strong communication skills, and a good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
You must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 1 year with no more than 6 penalty points.
You will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS. This will be sponsored.

Community Defib Officer

Location: West (Wellesbourne, Kineton or surrounding areas)
Hours: 4-6hrs Per Month

About the role – Our Community Defib Team are responsible for ensuring that all the Public Access Defibrillators we support are in good working order, they also work with local communities to identify ideal locations for new defibrillator cabinets, act as a link to the community and support when issues arise. The Defib Officer will be responsible for completing compliance checks and also attending charity meetings, currently held every other month in Wellesbourne.

Community Defib Officers will receive all of the relevant training to ensure these resources are working and will be supported to do their role under the leadership of the Defib Coordinator.

About you – Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, basic IT skills, strong communication skills, and a good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
You must hold a full manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
You will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS. This will be sponsored.

Community Engagement Officer (Southam)

Location: CV47 postcode i.e. Southam, Bishops Itchington, Long Itchington & Surrounding Villages
Hours: 2-4hrs Per Month

About the role – Community Training and Engagement is key for our charity to be able to spread the message about what we do. On the training side, we deliver various life-saving awareness sessions to the public and community groups.

Our Engagement Officers deliver vital information to the wider public, community groups and businesses to showcase the skills of our team and the impact we have on our communities. One day this could be a show and tell for the Scouts, the next onto delivering a presentation to a local business. Every interaction will have a lasting impact.

About you – Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, basic IT skills, strong communication skills and be confident speaking to groups of people. Ideally you will have a full UK driving licence and access to a car. You will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS. This will be sponsored.

Sponsorship & Fundraising Officer (Southam)

Location: CV47 postcode i.e. Southam, Bishops Itchington, Long Itchington & Surrounding Villages
Hours: 4-8hrs Per Month

About the role – Developing and inspiring fundraising and income sources for our charity is paramount in ensuring the services we provide and the growth of our team continues. With the expansion of our charity area, the need for a second response car has never been clearer.

Since our arrival in Southam, the need to grow our support and engagement with the community and potential partners and sponsors has never felt more needed. Our objective is to fund a dedicated ambulance car resource for the Town and continue to grow our Community First Responder offering. But this all costs money.

Our Sponsorship & Fundraising Officer will be instrumental in supporting the Trustees in generating this income and building relationships in the local area.

About you – Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, should have a good all-round standard of education, good IT skills including the use of Microsoft 365 and ideally Monday.com, strong communication skills. You will be required to complete a Basic DBS. This will be sponsored.
